Gbenga Emmanuel Adeboye is a lecturer in the Department of Dramatic Arts, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, where he earned a B.A. in Dramatic Arts. His areas of specialisation are Applied Drama and Performance Studies, with research foci in performance aesthetics, theatre pedagogy, stage management, digital and media performance, indigenous performance systems, intercultural performance, performance documentation, and cultural sustainability. His research critically examines the intersections of performance, media, technology, education, and society, with particular emphasis on decolonising theatre knowledge and advancing African-centred performance scholarship. He has presented papers at national and international conferences and published in reputable peer-reviewed journals. His scholarship contributes to contemporary debates on performance as a site of cultural expression, knowledge production, innovation, and sustainable development within both African and global contexts.
